I applied online. I interviewed at Keyence in Mar 2021
Interview
VERY thorough - they definitely want to ensure you are a good fit for their company. First, you are contacted by a recruiter, and you are sent a technical assessment and a prerecorded HireVue interview to complete. The assessment is very basic physics, mainly just common sense. The HireVue is super awkward, but the questions are pretty straightforward. They do ask you to sell them something at the end, and you don't have much time to prepare for it.
Then, if you make it through, you are contacted by someone to get your location preferences.
Finally, they invite you to the career day for the sales role-play and a full interview. You complete a personality assessment beforehand.
Usually, the career day would be in Chicago, but we did it over Microsoft Teams. Everyone was very nice, just make sure to be as prepared and as willing to learn as you can be! It was daunting, but overall a somewhat fun experience.
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Keyence (Chicago, IL) in Apr 2026
Interview
It was difficult but if you study and know the product, you should do well. I ended up getting the job but it also depends on the location that you want to be in for the position.
I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at Keyence (Boston, MA) in Nov 2025
Interview
There is a Half hour behavioral and a half hour sales roleplay. Roleplay requires studying of their product to then sell to person interviewing. Then there’s a behavioral portion reviewing your resume and prior employment experiences
