Interview
I applied through a job fair in my university. On the evening I was called and asked to have an interview the next day. The first day I was interviewed by two Japanese men. The interview was short. They will explain briefly about the company. They asked basic questions about your CV and questions like: Have you ever heard of Keyence? What qualities do you think is needed to be a Sales? What do you think that you need to be worry if you are a Sales engineer?
Then a week later you have to do an online personality test, called the Caliper test. The test is included the personality questions where you have to choose the most suitable and unsuitable personalities. You will have four choice for each questions. Then some questions on arithmetic test. The last one is essay on questions like: how do you think your friends describe you? What do you think of yourself? This personality test is not timed and it took me around 3 hours to finish.
Then I was called for another interview. It was an interview plus a basic physics test in mechanics, electronics, woodwork tools etc. It took like 1 hour for the test but you can make it for 30 minutes for 30 numbers.
The next step is I was called for job offer. The contract is for probation time, which will take 3 months.

Interview
My interview process consisted of two rounds. Was flown out to Chicago to role play one of their products. Thirty minutes of behavioral was pretty typical. The thirty minutes of technical role play was on the more difficult side - thought it went well but wasn't given an offer.

I applied online. I interviewed at Keyence (Hanoi) in Apr 2026
Interview
1st round. 5 minutes. Interviewed by one manager, face-to-face. Most questions are quite typical, such as your experience, your reasoning for the application, your general understanding of the role, and your strengths and weaknesses. There's one question, though, where you have to think on your feet, which can be tricky.
