Kingsbury interview questions

In person interview for second shift position. First interview was with second shift supervisor. Went well. Second in person interview was with 1st shift supervisors. Seemed to go well. Followed by phone interview with another manager to verify my intent. I received a call (callback) weeks later telling me that I did not have enough experience. I was truthful with my resume and very transparent during my interview. Why was I called back in the first place if my resume didn't "fit their criteria"? Wasted a lot of everyone's time
