Got to know everyone. Really enjoyed the meeting. It helps to know the law going in. It shows initiative and they were impressed by it. Gave me a good idea what it would be like working there.

Question 1
Background, education, past work, standard questions.
I applied online. The process took 3 days. I interviewed at Klain & Associates (Chicago, IL) in Oct 2019
Interview
I was led up to the floor on which the firm is located. An interviewer and HR representative were both present. They were friendly and asked me fairly standard questions. We were done in about 10 minutes. I did not hear back.
Long wait; scheduled attorney interviewer wasn't available. Interviewed by a partner. Partner seemed annoyed to be interrupted, asked very aggressive questions suggesting that I wasn't a good hire. Asked to provide followup writing sample. Firm didn't provide any feedback on whether we were moving forward, even after followup. Ended up taking a different position for which I interviewed at the same time.

All attorneys can research and are deadline-driven. Given that you come from a research background, aren't you just the same as every other attorney who comes into this office?
