Entire process took 2-3 weeks. HR telephonic round followed by exploratory round with hiring manager and then takeaway assignment. They did give me adequate time to return from my holiday and then submit the assignment.
I had to follow up on my assignment and then the assignment discussion round happened. They resonated strongly with a lot of the strategic ideas/insights presented except for one home page narrative.
One major issue for me was the assignment itself which requests strategies, playbook, deliverables, insights, criticism that would typically require weeks of paid work. It directly addresses KodeKloud's actual challenges from the brand perspective.
Now, I was told there there were 6000 applicants for this role. Even if 50 talented folks turn in their ideas through this assignment, any company can ride off it. Is this is an ethical practice?
I hope you can empathise with the applicant who is genuinely putting in the efforts. I made the mistake of not checking Glassdoor interviews for this company.
