I applied, and got an email asking me to set up an interview time. I was in a group interview. The interviewer asked 6-7 questions to the group. The questions were typical: such as how reliable would you say you are? If you have a list of tasks to do, how do you prioritize them? Describe a time when you went out of your way for a customer. I have done few group interviews, but I thought the best thing was to try to answer several questions, with answers that were a few sentences long. I answered 3 of the questions (some people answered more than me, some answered less than me). Then you are taken to the interviewer's office individually. The interviewer asks "Why Kohl's?" I was also asked what rate I expected. The whole process was very short, just about a half hour. I thought I did well in the interview, and was surprised that I got a rejection email. My best guess is I didn't get the job because I haven't worked retail in over 10 years.

Short but still good experience to have for a beginner in interviewing. There are a lot of people to meet so that you can make your skills of speaking up to par.
