Interview
A friend who worked there referred me. I called and asked if they were hiring, and the owner asked me to come in that same week. I came in for what I thought would be an interview, but she just sat down, introduced herself, and asked me if I had any experience with children. She then asked me if I had time to start right then, and I immediately began training. I heard that most locations do a more in depth interview with a skill test.
There is an application submission, brief interview, basic math/reading assessment, discussion of availability and responsibilities, possible training session, then hiring decision based on communication skills, accuracy, and ability to work with children.
I applied in-person. I interviewed at Kumon (Woodland Hills, CA)

Once on the job, I cultivated an engaging and interactive classroom environment that ignited students' enthusiasm for learning. By tailoring teaching methods to individual learning styles, I fostered a strong sense of interest and participation in the subjects at hand
