Interview
When I interviewed for a position at Kumon, the process was fairly straightforward but thorough. It started with an online application, followed by a short phone screening where they asked about my availability, experience working with children, and familiarity with Kumon’s learning method. Then, I was invited for an in-person interview at the center, where the supervisor asked situational questions about handling students, managing grading, and maintaining a structured learning environment. In some cases, they also gave a short test to assess basic math and English skills. The final step involved a brief training session to observe how the center operates and to see if I was a good fit for the role. The entire process was smooth and focused on ensuring that I could work well with students while upholding Kumon’s structured approach to education.
