Applied through a recruiter. Was asked to do an initial test through remoteinterview.io which was a "code review" style with 1440 minutes time limit. I could only schedule it during Japan hours even though the test was automated which was very inconvenient. The test was not difficult and I did not state anything incorrect I believe in the text document. It took me about two hours to do the test. I received a rejection notice 3 business days later saying I wasn't "up to their level" with no proof or feedback on specifics.
