I applied through an employee referral. The process took 5 days. I interviewed at Landi English in Sept 2018
Interview
Watched a few You Tube videos and had some props ready as suggested. Instructions are unclear whether you call them or they call you. Waited and no one called. I tried and got no answer. Tried again and they finally answered. I agree with some of the other reviewers that they seemed to want perfection without providing any training. I am an actual teacher and we are used to extending the lesson and talking to our students. I was told that I used too many words. They also want you to use the TPR which, I feel like makes people look slightly ridiculous.
I can concede that things like using fewer words makes plenty of sense, having no ESL experience, however, it was not intuitive. Overall I received some helpful feedback, but nothing I received as areas of improvement were things that should have been insurmountable (having a nicer background for the class being one of them, but then was told I did a good job of correcting pronunciation errors, you know the things we are supposed to be doing) I was very disappointed that I was not given the opportunity to take the feedback and try again in a few days with making the corrections.
I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Landi English (Shenzhen, Guangdong)
Interview
This company no longer operating due to China restrictions that have been going on for awhile. It was a smooth an easy interview process with very straight forward questions being asked of me during the interview.
I applied online. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at Landi English (Stevens Point, WI) in Dec 2018
Interview
The interview process was basically me being asked a few questions and then having to perform a mock lesson. It was rather silly and I didn't do that well. The interviewer acts as a five year old and you have to guide them through the process. The woman was very friendly and respectful, but she did not offer me a job and is having me try again for a second chance at the interview.
I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Landi English in Sept 2018
Interview
Interviewer was a few minutes late, but very nice. She asked a few basic questions and then I did the demo (I prepared beforehand). She gave me helpful feedback and suggestions.
