I applied through a recruiter. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Landis+Gyr (Manchester, England) in Aug 2021
Interview
Very pleasant one-to-one interview with Adrian (Head of Eng.) and a separate technical interview.
Adrian sent over some of the non-technical questions in advance so I could prepare my answers beforehand. This helped keep the interview short and direct, while still being relaxed.
The technical interview was straightfoward - two sets of requirements were shown and I was given a some time to come up with a high-level test approach. They don't expect perfect answers, they just want an insight into your thinking. I was surprised that there were no programming questions involved.
All in all, a very positive experience. It reflects their 'hire based on attitude' approach very well. They promised a simple process with fast feedback, and delivered.
