It began with a recruiter screen followed by a hiring manager interview, then VP interview. I didn't make it past the VP interview but I believe there would have been 1 or 2 more rounds. Recruiter + hiring manager rounds included very standard questions ("why do you want to work at LaunchDarkly", how much do you know about what we do, tell me about your prior sales experience, etc.) and were more casual and conversational. VP interview was more intense with rapid fire questions and there were only a couple of minutes left at the end for me to ask questions (interview was scheduled for 30 mins). The recruiter was helpful beforehand though in giving me some ideas of the types of questions that would be asked so I wasn't totally thrown off.
Overall I don't think the role/company would have been a good fit for me anyways.
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at LaunchDarkly (Oakland, CA)
Interview
Was a few phone screens then brought me onsite. Had an interview in a banking building that was pretty messy/ sloppy. The team that interviewed me looked pretty rough. Wearing grandma's old house slippers and hair a mess.
They knew that I did not have a background in what they sold- still brought me in for interviews- then turned me down because I did not know about their specific technology.
Honestly was glad to not get the offer after this experience. Probably would have turned it down.
