      Front-end Software Engineer Interview

      16 Oct 2015
      Anonymous interview candidate
      No offer
      Negative experience

      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at Laurel and Wolf

      Interview

I was contacted by an engineer and set up a phone screen. It was a pleasant/informal chat and was mainly a discussion about your skills/background, and a chance for you to ask questions and learn about the interview process. The first step was for them to send you a small code project, which involved setting up a basic Javascript page that made calls to an external API. I carefully completed the project in a few days and emailed it to the engineer, who I never heard from again despite emailing him a second time to check if he had simply missed my email. Even if I bombed the project in the worst case, it was extremely rude for them never to respond. It illustrates that this company does not value your time.
