I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Leading Authorities (Washington, DC) in Mar 2026
Interview
I got connected to this role and company through a recruiting agency. I had a call with the recruiter, then an interview with the VP of Marketing, COO, and Chief of Staff. The following week, I interviewed with the CEO. On the same day, I received a verbal offer for the role. After entering negotiations, the next day, I got a call from the recruiter saying they decided to give the role to an internal candidate who had previously declined the offer but had changed their mind. They prioritized internal candidates over external ones, which completely took me aback. I find this approach unprofessional, and I wouldn’t recommend applying here if that’s how they treat candidates.

Interview
Not too intimidating. Had a call with the manager along with their chief of staff and it was more conversational. The entire interview process was efficient and I heard back pretty quickly.
