I'm sorry that you didn't have a good interview experience, and please know that we appreciate the time you spent providing your thoughtful comments. Your feedback truly helps. Our interview process may be different (as are some of our questions), and we feel it's important to understand why a candidate is considering joining our family over all the other possible employers, or are they choosing to leave their existing employer, and if so what are those reasons.
We think of this simply as, "Are you running TO something, or away FROM something".
Our company highly values trust, empathy, and curiosity - and the question of "Why are choosing to join Leasecake?" is to hear a candidates insight, and in turn, their questions about why we exist, and what our customers value. For growth marketing, it's important to hear these insights, as well as what may not be fulfilling them in their existing role.
