      Credit Executive Interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 5 days. I interviewed at Leeden (Shah Alam) in Aug 2025

      Interview

⭐ Interview Experience Review – Credit Executive Position The interview took place at their HQ in Hicom, Shah Alam. The process was straightforward, with basic introductions and questions about my previous experience in credit control. However, a few red flags made me reconsider. ⚠️ Concerns Observed: Salary Negotiation Hesitation When I mentioned my expected salary of RM3.5k (which I believe is fair, given over 3 years of relevant experience), the interviewer appeared surprised and asked if I could lower it. This gave me the impression the company may not be willing to match market rates for experienced hires. Resignation Notice Period They were also quite shocked to learn my current notice period is 3 months—which is standard for executive-level staff. They asked whether I could shorten it or use leave days to offset (which isn’t always feasible). It felt like they were not familiar with standard industry practices. Annual Leave & Benefits When I shared that I currently receive 21 days of annual leave, the Credit Manager remarked that even as a manager there, they only get 15 days. This gave me the impression that employee benefits might not be a priority in the company. Saturday Work While not a major concern, it's worth noting that staff are expected to work one Saturday per month (8:30 am – 12:30 pm). For those valuing full weekends off, this might be a consideration. Location & Traffic Their office is located in Hicom-Glenmarie, which can be quite congested during peak hours. If you're commuting from afar, do consider the daily travel time and traffic condition. ✅ Final Thoughts: If you're considering a role at Leeden Gases, go in with clear expectations—especially regarding salary, benefits, and notice period. The company might be a fit for someone looking to start or restart in credit control at a slightly lower cost to company, but those with experience may find the package and mindset a bit lacking in competitiveness and HR maturity.
