      Stereo Conversion Artist Interview

      24 Oct 2014
      Anonymous employee
      Accepted offer
      Neutral experience
      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied in-person. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Legend3D in May 2010

      Interview

Friend gave me the information on how to apply. I emailed the recruiter, but the company had a hiring freeze before they moved the office to a new location. Was told to email again in a month, which I did and no response. I heard through the grapevine that there were hiring again. I emailed and no response, so I walked in with my resume and handed it to the first person I saw. The next day, I received and email invite for a two-day skills test.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

It was a skills test on their software. No one outside the company would be familiar with it. Also, I wasn't used to analyzing 3D. The training started late because of some technical error and so I had to miss some of the training to go to work.

      Application

I applied online. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at Legend3D (Carlsbad, CA) in Oct 2014

      Interview

The process to be seen was very quick - I was contacted within 3 days of applying, and after recommending the company to some of my friends, they were contacted in the same day. I was called to be asked in for the interview, as qualification was mostly 3D knowledge rather than experience. Once there, the staff was incredibly kind and encouraging, enthusiastic about our presence (it was a group effort) and eager to help. Very professional, very strict in their regulations but not cruel or controlling about it. Everyone met treated me as a co-worker rather than a potential employee, which made the process of paperwork and learning the software almost effortless. The studio itself was clean, blessedly dark and seemed very welcoming at each work station for the person working there. Long hours are expected, but you're treated exceptionally well.

      Question 1

Luckily, the interview process was the application - there were no questions for us, only questions if we wanted to ask them in turn.
