The process consisted of 2 behavioral phone interviews by senior engineers. They were both very laid back and I really enjoyed talking to my interviewers. I heard back about an offer about a week later.
I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Leidos
Interview
Applied online, received an email and scheduled a phone interview 2 weeks later. The employer seemed to have already screened many other applicants before reaching me, but the process was quick, responsive, and easy
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Leidos (San Diego, CA) in Apr 2016
Interview
Phone & in-person interview. Very brief 15 minute personal interviews with several members of the staff. Lasted a couple of hours. Mostly asked to describe previous research experience - couldn't discuss much more beyond this since the time was so short. A few technical questions, mostly related to things on my resume.
