From the time I applied, it took about 2 weeks to hear from a recruiter. We went over my basic information, including a salary minimum. I was then forwarded to the hiring manager. It took another 2 weeks to hear from the manager directly. We spoke for about 20 minutes and scheduled a team interview for the next week. The team interview was excellent. They didn't ask me basic, rote memorization technical questions (e.g. what does DNS stand for, describe RBAC, how many addresses are in a /24 segment), as is common with many employers. Instead, they challenged my critical and creative thinking with scenario exercises. Everyone was very friendly and fair. I have to say it was one of the best interviews I've ever had. The next week, I received an offer.
