      Specialist Interview

      30 Jun 2026
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Clearwater, FL
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at Life Works (Clearwater, FL) in Jun 2026

      Interview

Had an initial prescreening, 3nd screening after a 200 question IQ test, a personality test, then an interview with talent acquisition, then and interview with the director of HR who seemed highly uninterested in anything I had to say or my background and experience. She literally rushed me out of her office 10 minutes early it was very strange. Is she okay? Very unprofessional and thankfully I was not offered a position. There were so many red flags. As someone with a wealth of experience in talent acquisition and HR Operations, I know how to conduct and participate in interviews effectively so I'm very aware of what a positive candidate experience looks like. Why even waste my time If they weren't at all interested or professional during the interview? This crazy thing is, this isn't even the last step. You still have to interview with their CEO, which apparently everyone does. He will probably give you essential oils for cancer or something, who knows at this point as unorganized as things are. Having the CEO do this is not the flex you think it is either. The interview process overall was a terrible convoluted process, and thank GOD I didn't get the position. I 100% expected a generic decline email after my initial experience, so not at all surprised. The silver lining is, I got an offer somewhere else for significantly more $ within a highly reputable organization. I knew by their behavior at the in person interview and making my wait almost 40 minutes in the lobby, I should keep my expectations low. What I was actually shocked was their nerve, after wasting so much of my time. My best advice if interviewing is to keep your expectations low so you won't be disappointed.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

They didn't ask any questions. Interviewer just have word salad and seemed quite uninterested in anything about myself as a candidate. This was of course after making me wait for 40 minutes in the lobby. This was the head of HR btw. I got to listen to her just talk about herself. It was very cringe.
