It is important to the interviewers to hear your compassion and desire to work for Hospice. This position is mentally taxing and takes a lot from the employee. If your personal life is full of stress, that leaves little to give to the families and patients who are actively dying. You must be well educated on the purpose of hospice and that it is all about palliative (comfort) care and not curative care. It would be easy for you to say something that would eliminate you from the hiring process, if you are not aware of what hospice is truly about.
