I applied online. I interviewed at Linxup (Charlotte, NC)
Interview
First round was a phone interview with a recruiter. Second round was a zoom interview with the boss of the position. Third round was an in person interview with the VP of sales. Overall, it was a positive experience and gave me a chance to get to know the role and company before accepting my offer. Just a tip: make sure to research the company's website going into the interviews - they really like to see that and will ask questions to see if you did your research.
It was an excellent, friendly, and straightforward process for the position. The benefits are great. The recruiter and management team did a great job explaining the role and the expectations of the role. The culture seems to be really great.
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Linxup in Sept 2024
Interview
I had an internal referral and the Interview consisted of: phone screening, interview with two managers, second interview with those managers to discuss an audio file “virtual shadow,” a final interview with their boss, then I was requested to submit 4 references.
First off, 4 interviews for an entry level position was wild to me. The interviews were straight forward and everything was going well until my last interview. The director lacked professionalism and spent a majority of the interview complaining to me about all of the issues at Linxup. Then, at the very end of the interview he plainly stated that while there was a “seat open” (position) when I first started interviewing, it had been filled. He gave me a vague statement of wanting to “make some changes at end of the month” to make another seat available, but also stated “we can’t just create a book of business” for that seat. Basically told me the position wasn’t available anymore, so a huge waste of my and their time. He also told me I’d hear back in 2-3 days but a week later, after hearing nothing, I reached out to HR. This is when they requested I submit 4 referrals, which hadn’t been mentioned before. I think they wanted to stretch out the time to see if they could create a position, or continue to keep me on the back burner. If they needed 4 referrals, why didn’t they reach out and say so as the director stated they would?
My internal referral told me that they offered the position to someone internally, but that person just resigned. Overall a very disorganized company in my opinion, and also the director stated they are very disorganized.
