I applied online. I interviewed at LivGreen (Stoke Gifford, England) in Aug 2024
Interview
The initial screening process was friendly, and I received all the information relevant to the position. The hiring manager quickly moved me to the first interview. Surprisingly, it was a face-to-face interview, which was no problem for me as I have a car and live next door to this business park.
The problem occurred a bit later when, as a contract lawyer candidate, I was required to demonstrate the deep knowledge of an experienced HR lawyer, including issues of workplace disputes, compliance with labour laws, etc. It was gobsmacking as the job description required, and I quote: "DESIRABLE: employment law understanding/experience." I gently explained that combining these two is not my superpower, made my excuses and left.
Anyway, the team was friendly, and the office was nice. I took water, but maybe if I had taken a coffee, I would have rated them higher.
