Teams interview with the Head of Service and another Manager within his technical team. They send an interview 'prep' email with guidance, Intro & Context, Role Alignment Questions, Culture Alignment Questions. Seems straightforward enough... The interview is recorded and reviewed by HR to ensure the interview followed their 'stringently' controlled process... Then it fell apart a little.. I'm a technical Manager, no longer hands-on, the role clearly stated that the role was 'hands-off' managing the team of engineers... They then started asking me to describe the last 'Technical Build document I created to describe how I designed and implemented a new network service', then I was asked how I investigated and troubleshooted a complex network fault, describing what commands etc I used on which devices.... The questions in no way matched the published job spec.. I raised this with them, and they just repeated the questions and asked me to answer how best I could. What a waste of time and effort..
