Due to COVID, the first interview was a one-way video chat where questions came up on the screen and I had a time limit to answer each, but got three recording attempts. Everything went fine. I was called for a second interview, this time a two-way video chat via Zoom, which was conducted by a lad who'd only worked there two months and had also started at the very bottom of the food chain. I ignored the red flag that triggered for me, and this interview also went fine. The problem is that the job posting I applied for was a marketing internship, and what they're actually having you do is stand around at already-established retail stores and try to get passersby to sign up for a service (like Xfinity or AT&T). They also had me fill out a survey after the interview, and I mentioned in it that the company no longer held any appeal for me since they'd blatantly lied on the job posting. I presume that was the reason I wasn't offered the job.
