The interview process itself was fairly smooth, and I progressed through to the final stage, where I delivered a presentation. What I found very disappointing was that, after completing three interview stages and investing significant time in preparing the presentation, I didn’t receive any direct feedback at all, despite chasing. I was simply informed via the external recruiter that I was unsuccessful.
I completely understand that another candidate may have been a better fit for the role, but receiving no feedback at that stage of the process felt discourteous. Failing to close the loop with candidates who have invested that level of effort doesn’t reflect particularly well on the company or the individuals involved.
