Was recruited for a role in SF that is in line with my current role. As part of the process, the recruiter and I kept in contact via email. She continually used the wrong email address, one associated with my current role, even after multiple corrections/requests.
I had 3 phone interviews: 1 each with the recruiter, the hiring manager, and his direct supervisor. The questions, though limited, were thought-provoking and generated discussions.
When it came time to potentially come on-site, we discussed the plan for the day, which included interviews with 5 other people and a 45 minute PowerPoint. Not wanting to misuse either side's time, I attempted to reengage in a deeper salary/benefits discussion, to which there really wasn't a strong resolution.
After giving the conversation some thought, and knowing that it requires significant investment on both sides for a on-site interview, I sent a polite email to the recruiter telling her it likely doesn't make sense to move forward. She did not respond to my note.
