I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Lyric (CA) in Jun 2026
Interview
It was a standard mix of standard leetcode and system design questions. In all of the interviews, the interviewers were not prepared and kept adding vague requirements to the questions. It almost felt like I was being setup to fail. Interview
The current interview process tends to be quite lengthy and fragmented, involving multiple rounds across different stakeholders. While it aims to be thorough, it often results in:
Extended timelines between rounds
Delays in feedback and decision-making
Multiple touchpoints without clear consolidation
Overall, the process can feel tedious for candidates, with slower movement from initial screening to final decision.
There is an opportunity to streamline stages, improve coordination, and reduce turnaround time to enhance candidate experience and closure rates.

Interview
Interview went pretty well. They made it sound like i had everything thing that they were looking for and said someone will be on touch to move forward. But guess what? When i called for feedback I was rejected saying I was rejected since i’m not who theyre looking for.
I can understand the rejection but I don’t understand the feedback. Had they told me what they were expecting, i wouldnt have wasted my time.
