      Hardware Engineer Interview

      4 May 2022
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Irvine, CA
      No offer
      Neutral experience
      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at MACOM (Irvine, CA) in Feb 2022

      Interview

I first talked with the hiring manager, about experiences I had, an easy process. Then I went onsite for a 3 hr interview. Met with 6 different interviewers, including the manager, engineer from other teams, the engineer that will be working with, and the director. Each person took a 30 min. They asked a lot of questions, both technical and behavioral. After the interview, I sent two follow-up emails, first they reply with interviewing and needed more time. Then I just got ghosted and they did not reply to my second follow-up email.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

They have asked about bandpass filter, transmission line, and many other PCB/circuit related questions
