Applied online , got in for an interview. They want to see f you could make complex architectural design solutions , parametric design and clean 2d line drawings a really high caliber office looking for high caliber peoplei
It was an informal and friendly experience, but they clearly want workhorses that can produce options in grasshopper. The office looked like a cool place to work, and they are producing some fantastic designs lately.
I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at MAD Architects (Beijing, Beijing)

I applied through email, and was contacted back with in a day or two. had a skype interview within another one or two days and got an offer a week later.

one piece of SERIOUS ADVICE for anyone applying.
do NOT be afraid to ask for MORE. do NOT take an internship if you don't have to and ask for a full time position from the START.
no matter how much experience you have (or if any) they will NOT give you more than you ask for and have no issue with offering an (exploited) internship to ANYONE who is willing to take it.
