I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at MD Anderson Cancer Center in Jun 2011
Interview
The process to actually get an interview is lengthy. There is a huge gap in time from point of application, to phone interview, to in person interview. Once I received a call to come in for an interview, it was for the same week. They give GREAT directions to get to where your interview will take place. It's a LOT of walking so wear comfortable shoes! I interviewed with the recruiter, department manager, department administrator, and someone else from the department. I was there for about 4 hours, but really enjoyed my time there. The people were great and friendly. I sent a follow up and thank you for the interview email. While I didn't receive feedback for THAT position, they called me back to interview for another.

Interview
GHOSTED!!- Phone interview came first with operations manager, then i was invited to interview face to face with manager and department administrator. The interview went well and i was told i was the top candidate. I sent a thank you for the interview email the next day and i got an immediate response to come back the next day for a 2 hour interview with faculty. During the second interview i was offered the job and met with some of the residents and other team members. While leaving the department secretary told me congratulations and i will receive the call and offer letter from HR by Friday. Its two weeks later and nothing! I sent follow up emails to the manager is now unresponsive. I cant believe I was verbally offered the job now nothing. This is shameful coming from such a prestigious organization.

I applied through other source. The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at MD Anderson Cancer Center (Houston, TX) in May 2015
Interview
I met with my (future) direct supervisor and the vendor who found me for the position. The interview was formal, but relaxed. I brought examples of my work and they came in handy. I had a great synergy with my supervisor right away and was awarded the position. It took a week total. When I re-applied for the job through MD Anderson (and not a vendor- as a contract position), it took 4 months for them to decide they were looking for someone with more experience.
