HR initially reached out to me and asked a few preliminary questions before scheduling an in-person interview. When I arrived at the office, there was no one at the front desk to let me in, so I was left wondering how to enter the building. After about 10 minutes, someone happened to walk by and let me in. They had to go find a manager, who then gave me a tour of the building, which I genuinely enjoyed.
However, when we entered the conference room, I was surprised to find seven people sitting there, all ready to interview me. As each person took turns asking questions, I found myself trying to make eye contact with everyone while responding, which made me feel like my head was spinning around the room. While I’m comfortable with interviews, being interviewed by seven people at once was overwhelming, especially for a first-round interview.
Overall, it was an eye-opening experience, but since then, I've interviewed with larger companies and haven’t encountered more than three people in an interview.
