      Senior Android Developer Interview

      14 May 2025
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Barcelona
      No offer
      Positive experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Manychat (Barcelona) in Mar 2025

      Interview

The interview process includes 3 phases, the first is by recruitment team, which include your previous experience, the company and motivation. The second phase includes live coding interview for 55 minutes to add a small feature to already existing app, The feature is average, but include change code in different place including the UI, data and domain. After that some question about why implement it in that way. some question about the code base and coroutines. Overall, I liked the interview, the only thing I didn't like it, that he asks me the questions during the 55 minutes of the live coding (The interview is 1 hour in 30 minutes ) which gave me some thought that I shouldn't complete all the task to be working and wasted some time from me.

Thank you for sharing your interview experience with us and for highlighting both what you appreciated and what could have gone better! We’re glad to hear that you found the overall process enjoyable and that the structure of the technical challenge was engaging. At the same time, we really appreciate your feedback about the timing and how questions were handled during the live coding session. That’s a very important input, and we’ll take it into account as we continue to refine our interview approach. Thanks again for your time and insights - we wish you all the best in your journey ahead! Ksenia Potapova, Global Talent Acquisition Leader

      2 Sept 2024
      Anonymous interview candidate
      No offer
      Neutral experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Manychat

      Interview

I got a referral here, not sure how the process looks for those who just apply, but the process here was pretty smooth and quick, not a lot of steps: - Call with a recruiter. Nothing to add here - Technical interview. The interview was quite easy. It was a bit of discussing my experience and then live coding where I had to add a small feature to an existing Android app. The interviewer asked some questions about the code after I finished everything. - Call with manager. It was mostly a discussion of how processes work in Manychat and what I'm used to. I was rejected a couple of days after this call because, I quote, they found somebody more familiar with their work approaches, which is a pretty vague rejection reason, but other than that the process was quite pleasant.
