I applied through university. I interviewed at MappedIn in Jul 2024
Interview
Looks like some scam company trying to post jobs so they can show hiring and get some funding. HR came to the university and told about the job I reached out to HR the next day and after repeated mailing they had scheduled an interview with some other software developer. They are very informal with the interview they add some random people to the interview without even informing in prior emails.
The questions were easy map based question and had 45mins to explain my experience and solve the problem. Went to 2nd round which was writing some validation of the code. The round was for 2hrs and they sent a link that is not even working so had to tell the solution and the interviewer had to type the code. Completed 4/5 challenges in that and interviewer told he would consider the initial 15mins wasted as well as the broken link while considering. Then told there will be 4 more rounds of interview but then next day I got an automatic email from HR saying not moving forward.
They just ghosted me don't even give the feedback even though we mail the HR and the team multiple time. I also heard similar experience with other candidates from my uni. Also I know someone who worked there. He told he was fired within 2 months for no reason. I guess they are just keep posting jobs to get more funding or get an worker through LMIA. Even many such incidents have been reported on glassdoor.
DO NOT WASTE A CANDIDATE'S TIME.

Interview
Fairly straightforward interview process, not too technically challenging. Got along well with the hiring manager and recruiter but ultimately did not receive an offer. Process is phone screen -> interview with hiring manager -> interview with CTO (didn't make it here)
Easy! Wasn’t too bad was pretty quick and they just asked me a string manipulation question that was a leet code easy I would say. Other than that they just ask you questions about yourself.
