I applied in-person. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at Mars (Salem, OR) in Aug 2018
Interview
I interviewed with a panel of three people early in the morning so I would not interrupt the busy schedule of my current position. The two District Managers were nice, along with a Territory Manager in the same position in which I was interviewing for. I was highly impressed with the interview, loved the team and really wanted to be part of it.
I followed up with individual thank you emails too all three on the panel.
I heard nothing back for two weeks, I sent an email, and still heard nothing. Week four I sent another email and yet received no response. I then noticed the position posted again and reapplied. I still heard nothing back even though after 6 weeks my career profile on the Mars career site said under consideration.
Six and a half weeks later I rechecked my profile and it said requisition closed.
I held out hope because I really liked the company and people who have careers with Mars.
I currently have over 900 customers in my current position. I still respond to emails, texts, and phone calls. I am just one person that requested a response and I was not important enough to receive that.
I am disappointed and hope your company understands and embraces the importance of communication. I have been a consumer of many Mars products for many years but not anymore!
Here are a few steps during the interview process:
1. Recruiter contacts you
2. Video interview
3. Interview with the hiring manager
Would be nice if you were recommended by a Mars employee
