The initial interview was organized quickly. It was a typical initial interview. It went well. The next day they invited me to the second phase to make a presentation with the results they had shared in excel. It went well too and they mentioned they got impressed by my skills and presentation. All interviewers I met were so nice. Then, in my opinion, a special phase was created for me and they wanted me to respond to a client's research inquiry by asking for details with all dimensions in 20 minutes. Then they wanted me to prepare a questionnaire in line with the brief they shared. According to the brief, I should have been prepared a satisfaction survey, concept test survey and brand perception survey in one. The duration of the task was 40-50 minutes and the questionnaire should have been prepared with a max of 20 questions. It was totally unrealistic and unfair phase I've ever seen. The next day of the third phase, they said they do not want to continue with me. Who can prepare a 3 section-questionnaire for an unfamiliar sector with 20 questions in 50 minutes as a senior research executive? I think, even if they find one, they should offer her/him a research director position. At the end of the process, considering their way of working and managing the project, I am glad that I did not get an offer from Maru.
