I interviewed at Mastercard Foundation (Kigali, Kigali)
Interview
The process was clear, and I was updated every step of the way. The job description was clear, and the questions were aligned with my expectations. The interviewers were professional and focused. It was clear that being values-aligned is a key priority for potential candidates.

Question 1
Which of the Foundation's values resonates most with you
I applied online. The process took 4 months. I interviewed at Mastercard Foundation in Oct 2024
Interview
The interview process was very long and felt very unorganized. I applied at the end of July and had two interviews that took 3 months to schedule.
For my second interview, I was kept up to date weekly, but that did not take away from the sheer lack of urgency for them to meet candidates. Any candidate interviewing with multiple companies (as I was) will be put in the position of having an offer but still in limbo with the Foundation due to their delays and weak process.

Question 1
How does the mission of the Foundation align with your personal values?
I applied online. The process took 8 months. I interviewed at Mastercard Foundation (Nairobi)
Interview
Long, 8-month process with poor scheduling communication and feedback. The scheduling team based in South Africa made several errors in interview times, often leading to several weeks of back and forth to schedule interviews. Feedback after interviews was slow. Initial posted salary was very low for the position (x5 times lower), but this was revised after negotiation.
