I applied online. I interviewed at Mastronardi Produce (Kingsville, ON) in Jun 2026
Interview
This was a frustrating and disorganized interview process. It felt like the company did not know what they actually wanted for this role.
HR interview was nice and pleasant. HR really tried to sell me the perks of the position and the company in general. The interviews with management were a different story. First was with the hiring manager. I attempted to understand more about the role but was only given vague responses on the day-to-day and future of this position. The vibe I got was that they were unprepared/did not fully understand the need for this role. The hiring manager moved me onto the next interview with another department manager. This interview was disjointed. This manager joined 5 mins late and really only asked me one question. I spent the rest of the time asking the manager questions I prepared, but only received minimal insight. I felt very unwanted in this interview, and it felt like a waste of my time. It felt like I was the one conducting the interview. The manager seemed very disinterested in the interview from the jump. This left a bad impression on me. If this is how interviews are treated, how are day to day interactions with employees treated?
Advice to MGT: Come prepared to the interview. If you are not interested in the candidate just move on and do not waste their time. Fully understand what you are looking for from a technical standpoint before you list a job opening like this.
No offer but would have declined if given one.

Interview
Very easy, the marketing director was very chill. Overall really nice guy with straight forward questions. It’s unfortunate I passed up on the opportunity seemed like a really cool place to work
