      Interview

Fairly straightforward, you go in to do an assessment, and if you do well, they invite you for a trial shift. The assessment is largely GCSE contact, and it feels vital to be good at it if you want to be a good tutor.

Thank you for sharing your interview experience. We’re pleased to hear the process felt clear and straightforward. Our assessment and trial shift are designed to ensure candidates feel confident with the core maths content and to give a realistic sense of what the tutor role involves. We really value applicants who enjoy working with children and are keen to build strong subject knowledge, and we’re glad this came across during the process. We wish you every success in your role with us.

      Interview

When I interviewed at Mathnasium, I first had a short phone call about my background. Then I went in for a math test and a short interview. They asked how I’d explain problems to students and watched me do a sample tutoring session.
