I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Maximizer Software
Interview
Applied online. initial screen included quantitative, logic and some language based questions. Next, interviewed by 2 lousy developers who seemed to know nothing other than language specific stuff. Then "VP" who was equally dumb, couldn't understand my straightforward solutions to two questions, which according to his body language were difficult! Hah , I thought what a joke. After I answered both of them, he said "you are in the final two we are consider to hire". But something was telling me he wouldn't hire someone way smarter (may be way less experienced) than him
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
most difficult for me were javascript/.NET specific "puzzle" questions which anyone can memorize and answer. I couldn't coz i haven't had much experience in them.
other "tough" questions by Mr. VP were:
- algorithm to shuffle deck of cards
- reverse linked list without using recursion
I solved both in a flash and he didn't like it obviously
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Maximizer Software (Vancouver, BC) in May 2017
Interview
Got a phone screening, attended 1st interview with a writing test and 2nd interview with a manager and a senior engineer. The writing test was not hard and the interviews were also not tough.
