I applied online. I interviewed at MedMen (San Jose, CA) in Sept 2019
Interview
Phone Screen with someone who spoke so low, and didn't ask if this was a good time for a screen, or ask to set an appointment. Phone screen followed by a group interview:
1. The interviewers were inexperienced were late by 20 minutes
2. Group Interview - which was a bit odd. The interview was to be part of a team, so not certain why candidates had to compete with each other. The process seemed impersonal. When I hired a team, it is such an integral role - a team member, getting to know this potential hire is key.
3. Other candidates mimicked my answers
4. The interviewers asked 3 out of 4 people what their availabilities were
5. Questions were directed to 1-2 people only
6. Interviewers talked about their salary and how much they have to work and they are managers so they have to work
7. Interviewers kept looking at each other and nudging each other when one candidate gave an answer they liked
8. Interviewers did not give this company any justice - we received no explanation about the dispensary - except the San Jose store was the headquarters and flagship
9. Company History - which is such an integral part of both being an employee or customer, was not even discussed
10. Personal, irrelevant facts about the two young ladies were discussed
11. Candidates were told 3 times from the interviewer that she quit her job at Google.
