I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at Medtronic (Woburn, MA)
Interview
I am very disappointed with the HR/ Staffing folks at Medtronic. I have applied for a position in the past, and never received any communication from them even though I was a referral candidate. I applied again for a 2nd time (months later), and again I had my resume referred now by 2 different current employees and still no word from the Talent Acquisition group.
Employee referrals are a testament to the employee's network, work ethic, and ability to identify like-minded individuals & they save significant sourcing time and money for recruiters. Typically recruiters reach out with at least a courtesy call or even an email but not at Medtronic, not a word! Recruiters have a hierarchy of the people they’re going to look at, if you’re referred, you’re generally going to go to the top of the pile but Medtronic must not practice this philosophy.
The job posting is no longer active so I assume the job has been filled.
The interview consisted of two interviews only. Offered the job within a a short window (they moved very quickly through the hiring process). Interviews weren't geared towards technical expertise - largely focused on stakeholder management.
I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Medtronic (Hong Kong)
Interview
HR are nice, interview is not challenging. have 3 rounds of interviews in total. 1st round for phone interview, 2nd for line manager and the final round for department head
Too many interviews by too many people. Same questions asked by multiple interviewers. Total process time and time between interviews was unacceptable. The total process took 6 months. I withdrew from the process after the 8th interview.
