I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Meltwater (Dublin, Dublin) in Jul 2015
Interview
A couple of stages to the process.
I applied through LinkedIn and got a phone call a few days later. Just a general chat to one of the team as we discussed my CV.
After this I got an email saying they wanted to meet me face to face. Travelled to their HQ in Pembroke street and had an informal chat with the MD and got to meet the other staff.
After this process I got an email saying I was invited to a group interview. The group interview consisted of 11 applicants and 6 Meltwater staff from various locations.
What I did notice was that all of the applicants were all very qualified (think all had a masters degree) and quite a bit older than myself.
The first hour was orientation which was the staff talking about themselves and the company.
Then it was a coffee break where the onus was on you to get yourself noticed. I talked to all of the panel but when you have 11 hungry applicants you can imagine its hard to get a good convo in.
After coffee we had to do a 3 minute presentation on ourselves- an about me presentation. This was my let down as compared to the other applicants I live a boring life.
Next the applicants were divided into groups and asked to think of 2 companies which could use Meltwater. We got 7 minutes to discuss this in our team of 4. Then we had to do a 3 minute presentation on them. Again this was difficult as 2 of the members talked more than the other two so they would get more noticed.
The day concluded with each member having to do an elevator pitch of a hobby they hadn't discussed yet. I went in with a dragons den style pitch trying to think outside the box. Think it went down well but overall I knew I wasn't strong enough compared to others.
They called before 9pm that night to confirm whether or not you would be called back for an interview the next day. - I was not called back so that is the end for me.
The questions were exactly as others on here have said so learn them off and you probably have a good chance but you must be good at presenting. They like to throw you into the deep end.
Overall though a great experience. It is clear to see that all the staff in Meltwater enjoy what they are doing which is good to see. The interview panel were all really nice and friendly.

Interview
