Interview
A 30-minute HR interview round followed by a 45-minute interview with a member of the Inhouse Consulting team, including a 30-minute presentation of a case study. Only one member of the consulting team was present. The first 10 minutes were a general introduction of both sides. The case study was provided after the first interview and several days were available to prepare the presentation and its content.

First step: Intro with HR, very good and polite person.
Second step: Prepare a presentation for a market analysis project for the company (topic that the candidates chooses) and then the candidate present it to the management team

Why did Merck? Why the inhouse consulting program?
Das Gespräch war insgesamt freundlich und professionell geführt. Die Gesprächspartner waren gut vorbereitet und sind auf meinen Lebenslauf eingegangen. Positiv war, dass genug Raum für Rückfragen gegeben wurde. Allerdings war der Ablauf nicht ganz transparent – es wurde z. B. nicht klar, wie der Auswahlprozess aussieht oder wie viele Gesprächsrunden noch folgen. Auch die Erwartungen an die Rolle wurden nur vage beschrieben, was die Einschätzung der Position erschwert hat.
