I applied through a staffing agency. I interviewed at Mesa Biotech (San Diego, CA) in Oct 2020
Interview
A staffing agency reached out to me and there were no talks with the HR department directly. They scheduled the interview with the team and then offered me the job only to rescind it after I already sent them the signed offer letter. This company will have to work on their management and HR if they want to stay relevant in this competition. I am warning you to work for a better company than this.
My interview with the recruiter went well and I moved forward to an "in person" Zoom interview.
My interview was scheduled to include four people and only two of them bothered to show up. One of the interviewers was working in the lab during the interview which is extremely unprofessional. The interview consisted of a couple of questions that made it very clear that neither of them bothered to read my resume. The interview lasted for fifteen minutes and ended with the female interviewer basically saying "I'm done."
I would have appreciated it if they read my resume ahead of time so they didn't waste my time and theirs. If Mesa Biotech is going to use their Scientists to perform interviews they need to be trained in interviewing. Frankly, a performance like this makes Mesa Biotech appear disorganized and unprofessional.
