My interview experience with Methodist Health Systems, spanning five weeks and three rounds, fell short of expectations. Despite receiving an offer, the hiring manager's lack of communication and enthusiasm left much to be desired in terms of candidate engagement. Additionally, the absence of a provided compensation range and the failure to discuss salary expectations resulted in an offer below my minimum requirements.
A critical point of contention occurred when I provided my salary requirements to the HR contact, who mentioned they would connect with the hiring manager and provide an update. Unfortunately, this follow-up never materialized. Instead, weeks later, I received a disposition notice without any proper communication or update on the status of the salary discussion. Fortunately, I elected to accept a job offer with another company, as this experience significantly impacted my perception of the organization as a potential employer.
