I applied online. I interviewed at Metromile (San Francisco, CA) in May 2021
Interview
HR called me regarding the role and initial screening process concluded and the HR agreeing for $xxx, yyy. She told me I might be suitable for 2 roles and I would have to attend interviews for both the roles. I attended 6 rounds of interview and gave my best.
A week past and no response and when I contacted the HR regarding my candidacy I was told I might be a better fit for a 3rd role and I had speak to two more interviewers and she also introduced me to a new HR contact who will take on from here. I had attended 6 rounds of interview the company and the HR did not even have the courtesy to share the feedback what was reason for the team to consider me for a 3rd role. When I asked about this to the HR I got a vague response we always align right talent to the right job. After successful completion of both the interviews, HR called me 2 days later and confirmed I have been selected for the role and the team is ready to move into offer stage and reconfirmed my offer. Again two days later the HR called me and we have a disappointing news. "The role you were being interviewed is de-prioritized and you are no longer being considered".
Is this really a professional organization, is this how you treat candidates. Doesn't the company know the value of time. I had spent 6 -8 hours through out the interview process. Counting my blessings I am not joining this company.
So nothing is certain until you enter the work on your first day. This company can call you anytime and even revoke your offer stating the font size is small. Do not have hopes until you go to work and get paid.

Horrible - thats the only 1 word which can describe. They will ask you questions of java even if you are not into java n are expected to code in python. Even if u answer be sure, u vl be rejected, jus a matter of time. Also, the HR will take minimum 5 days and 3 follow up mails , jus to send you the rejection. If you have no useful time n willing to waste time, the company is for you.
