I applied online. I interviewed at Michelmores (Bristol, England) in May 2025
Interview
Great interview process, not too intimidating. What I especially appreciated was that they arranged a phone call after rejecting the application to discuss what went well in the interview and what needed improvement. This was extremely helpful, they didn't just give generic feedback like some places, but gave really specific examples and advice.
It was a video interview with 5 or 6 pre-recorded questions. Strange questions in the sense I was expecting the classic “why X firm?”, “why law?”, but the questions were more targeted to describing strengths and weaknesses e.g. describe a team you worked well in a team. Only one attempt per question but 3 mins prep time for 1-2 min response.
