The interview process was one of the most unprofessional experiences I have encountered in my HR career.
My interview was rescheduled three separate times. On more than one occasion, I was left waiting without any communication, only to learn later that there had been a scheduling issue. At no point was there proactive communication that demonstrated respect for my time as a candidate.
What made this particularly disappointing was that the role was for a Human Resources Manager position, and the interview process was being managed by a senior HR leader. As HR professionals, we are expected to model communication, organization, and professionalism. Unfortunately, my experience reflected the opposite.
I understand that scheduling conflicts happen. However, repeatedly rescheduling interviews, missing scheduled meetings, and failing to communicate with candidates is unacceptable. Candidates invest time preparing for interviews and arranging their schedules, and that effort should be respected.
Based solely on my interview experience, I would not recommend this company. If this is how candidates are treated during the hiring process, it raises concerns about the organization’s internal communication and respect for employees.
