1. HR interview. 2. Zoom interview with Hiring Manager and a Senior Developer. 3. Onsite interview in San Diego with Hiring Manager and VP of data and analytics. The hiring manager looked like a great person and all the interview process went well till the end of the onsite interview when they asked if I have any questions. At that point when the VP start explaining more about the position, it became very clear to me that he does not want to hire. I saw a shock in the Hiring Manager's face as well! The VP basically was saying we can hire off-shores or contractors for our positions. He also told me not to expect a response till 2-3 weeks. Well finally I followed up (almost 100% sure about their response) and HR said you did great and a couple of other great people have interviewd, BUT they have not selected anybody yet AND THE POSITION IS STILL OPEN. ! Yaikes! That's exactly what I got from the VP's last remarks!
